Beautiful Lake Cumberland
Lake Cumberland is over 100 miles long (average depth 120 feet) with over 50,000 plus acres of crystal clear water loaded full of big Stripers! It is one of the largest manmade lakes in the U.S. with nearly 1,300 miles of shoreline! Captain Jim has fished Lake Cumberland over 55 years.
StriperFun offers day trips on Lake Cumberland (weather permitting) on the Western end of the lake year-round (with client pickups at Grider Hill Marina Resort and Halcomb's landing launch ramp by the dam). With advanced arrangements, we can also pick up on houseboats for a small additional fee.
We have availability for up to 24 fishermen per day - maximum of four (4) per boat. We use only the freshest live Gizzard and Alewives shad, as well as lake shiners and suckers, targeting suspended schools of fish holding in up to 100 feet deep over the river and creek channels.
The Stripers in Lake Cumberland must be 22 inches long to keep them. Each fisherman can keep two (2) Stripers above 22 inches. Smaller Stripers less than 22 inches must immediately be returned. Lake trips are five (5) hours (or until you catch your limit - we stop fishing once the limit is caught).

Deposits & Cancellation Policy
A $100.00 deposit is required when you make your reservation for any StriperFun fishing trip. The deposit is non-refundable, but we will reschedule with at least two (2) weeks advance notice. Re-scheduling requests or cancellation without at least two (2) weeks advance notice will cause your deposit to be forfeit.
There is no bathroom on the boat, nor are there any close on the water restroom facilities. Men relieve themselves off the side of the boat and we have an emergency bucket available for the ladies. If this is a problem, please advise us now before arriving for your trip.
Re-scheduling is not allowed because of predicted foul weather, including predicted rain. We fish in the rain and your boat is covered. The Captain reserves the right to re-schedule if the weather turns bad on the day of the trip. Generally, this decision will be based upon high or dangerous muddy water, hazardous travel conditions (snow or ice) or frequent lightening the morning of the trip. If your trip is cancelled because of the aforementioned dangerous conditions, your deposit is good for another day.
Where we are located
We launch from different locations for lake trips. If you are renting a houseboat, with advance notice, we can also pick you up right from your houseboat!
